Commemoration in Dominica of July 26th

Roseau, Dominica - July 26, 2025 - In a heartfelt ceremony, representatives of the diplomatic mission, the Medical Brigade, and agricultural collaborators serving in Dominica, commemorated the 72nd anniversary of the Assault on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks.

The patriotic event paid tribute to the heroes and martyrs of the July 26, 1953, deed, led by Fidel Castro, Raúl Castro, and Abel Santamaría, among others. On that historic day, the Centennial Generation demonstrated its commitment to José Martí's ideas. Seventy-two years after that epic event, participants recalled the importance of this milestone in Cuba's struggle for independence and sovereignty, and highlighted the relevance of the Cuban Revolution's ideals today.

The ceremony was a moment to reflect on the history and legacy of the Cuban Revolution, and to renew the commitment to the principles of solidarity, justice, and dignity that guide it, with the certainty that "The struggle has not ceased" and that #CubaIsFirm.
