Bruselas, 3 de junio.- En la sede del Servicio Público Federal de Asuntos exteriores, Comercio exterior y Cooperación al Desarrollo de Bélgica tuvo lugar un encuentro entre el Sr. Patrick Herman, Director para las Américas y el Caribe, y una delegación cubana encabezada por Ileana Núñez Mordoche, Directora de Europa y Canadá del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores de la República de Cuba (MINREX).
La delegación estuvo integrada además por Jorge Cano Pérez, Segundo Jefe de Misión; Laura Soler Díaz, subdirectora de Política Comercial con Europa del MINCEX y Alba Rosa Alarcón Fonseca, Consejera Comercial de la Embajada de Cuba en Bélgica.
Durante el encuentro, se abordó el estado de las relaciones bilaterales y se coincidió en mantener el diálogo abierto y constructivo. La parte cubana agradeció el tradicional apoyo del Reino de Bélgica a la Resolución contra el bloqueo presentada por Cuba en la Asamblea General de las Naciones Unidas.
Este encuentro ratificó el interés compartido de Cuba y Bélgica por consolidar los vínculos políticos, económico-comerciales y de cooperación.

Cuba and Belgium reaffirm willingness to strengthen bilateral relations
Brussels, June 3, 2025 - A meeting took place at the headquarters of the Belgian Federal Public Service for Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation between Mr. Patrick Herman, Director for the Americas and the Caribbean, and a Cuban delegation headed by Ileana Núñez Mordoche, Director for Europe and Canada of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba (MINREX).
The delegation also included Jorge Cano Pérez, Second Chief of Mission; Laura Soler Díaz, Deputy Director of Trade Policy with Europe of MINCEX and Alba Rosa Alarcón Fonseca, Commercial Counselor of the Cuban Embassy in Belgium.
During the meeting, the state of bilateral relations was discussed and it was agreed to maintain an open and constructive dialogue. The Cuban side expressed its gratitude for the traditional support of the Kingdom of Belgium for the Resolution against the blockade presented by Cuba at the United Nations General Assembly.
This meeting ratified the shared interest of Cuba and Belgium in consolidating political, economic-commercial and cooperation ties.
