El embajador cubano, Juan Antonio Fernández Palacios sostuvo un cálido encuentro con la Excma. Sra. Symone Betton-Nayo, Embajadora de Jamaica ante el Reino de Bélgica y la Unión Europea. Durante la reunión, se llevó a cabo un amplio intercambio sobre diversos temas de la agenda de Bruselas, destacando especialmente aquellos relacionados con CELAC/UE y los países de África, el Caribe y el Pacífico (ACP).
Ambas partes reafirmaron su compromiso de fortalecer las relaciones bilaterales y multilaterales, enfatizando la importancia de la cooperación en foros internacionales y la promoción de intereses comunes en el ámbito de la CELAC, la UE y los ACP. Asimismo, coincidieron en la importancia de preservar la unidad y la solidaridad entre las naciones del Caribe y América Latina para enfrentar desafíos globales y promover el desarrollo sostenible.
Este encuentro refleja la voluntad compartida de Cuba y Jamaica de continuar profundizando sus lazos diplomáticos y de colaboración en temas de interés mutuo, contribuyendo al fortalecimiento de las relaciones entre los países de la región y la Unión Europea.

Cuban Ambassador Juan Antonio Fernández Palacios held a warm meeting with H.E. Mrs. Symone Betton-Nayo, Ambassador of Jamaica to the Kingdom of Belgium and the European Union. During the meeting, a wide-ranging exchange took place on various issues on the Brussels agenda, with special emphasis on those related to CELAC/EU and the African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) countries.
Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to strengthen bilateral and multilateral relations, emphasizing the importance of cooperation in international fora and the promotion of common interests in the field of CELAC, the EU and the ACP.
