Cubaminrex, 20 September 2020. The President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, will deliver a statement, on 22 September, at the General Debate of the 75th Session of the United Nations General Assembly. Cuba will be the seventh speaker during the morning session on the opening day of this important event, which this year will be held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic. More than 170 Heads of State and Government are expected to attend.
In addition to the President's keynote address, our country is expected to address the high-level events in commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the UN, the 25th anniversary of the Fourth World Conference on Women and the International Day for the Total Elimination of Nuclear Weapons, as well as the Summit on Biodiversity.
