Bruselas, 17-18 de abril.- La delegación de Cuba invitada al 8.º Congreso del Partido de la Izquierda Europea desarrolló una intensa agenda de trabajo que incluyó encuentros con líderes de diversas fuerzas políticas de izquierda del continente.
Asimismo, el miembro del Comité Central del Partido y jefe de su Departamento de Relaciones Internacionales, Emilio Lozada García, reafirmó con firmeza: “No nos vamos a rendir. Cuba no se va a rendir”, en un mensaje que sintetizó el espíritu de resistencia y dignidad del pueblo cubano.
En el marco del Congreso, se aprobó una moción en defensa de Cuba y en contra del recrudecimiento del bloqueo económico, comercial y financiero impuesto por los Estados Unidos, reafirmando la histórica posición de esa organización política en rechazo a las medidas coercitivas unilaterales.
Uno de los momentos más significativos fue el acto de solidaridad dedicado a Cuba, en el que se rindió homenaje al Comandante en Jefe Fidel Castro Ruz, en el contexto de la conmemoración de su centenario (#100AñosConFidel). El evento estuvo marcado por intervenciones que destacaron la vigencia de su legado y el compromiso con la defensa de la soberanía cubana.
Durante este acto, intervinieron el vicejefe del Departamento Ideológico del Comité Central del Partido, Elier Ramírez Cañedo, y el embajador de Cuba en Bruselas, Juan Antonio Fernández Palacios, quienes subrayaron la importancia de la solidaridad internacional frente a la creciente hostilidad contra la Isla.
La participación de la delegación cubana en este importante foro político europeo evidenció, una vez más, el respaldo de fuerzas progresistas internacionales a la causa de Cuba y su rechazo al bloqueo, así como el compromiso de continuar fortaleciendo los lazos de solidaridad y cooperación.

Cuban delegation participates in the 8th Congress of the Party of the European Left and receives broad solidarity support
Brussels, April 17-18.- The Cuban delegation invited to the 8th Congress of the Party of the European Left carried out an intense work agenda that included meetings with leaders of various left-wing political forces from the continent.
Likewise, the member of the Central Committee of the Party and head of its International Relations Department, Emilio Lozada García, firmly reaffirmed: "We will not surrender. Cuba will not surrender," in a message that synthesized the spirit of resistance and dignity of the Cuban people.
Within the framework of the Congress, a motion was approved in defense of Cuba and against the intensification of the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by the United States, reaffirming the historical position of that political organization in rejection of unilateral coercive measures.
One of the most significant moments was the solidarity event dedicated to Cuba, in which homage was paid to Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, in the context of the commemoration of his centenary (#100YearsWithFidel). The event was marked by interventions that highlighted the enduring relevance of his legacy and the commitment to the defense of Cuban sovereignty.
During this event, the deputy head of the Ideological Department of the Central Committee of the Party, Elier Ramírez Cañedo, and the Cuban ambassador in Brussels, Juan Antonio Fernández Palacios, spoke, emphasizing the importance of international solidarity in the face of growing hostility against the Island.
The participation of the Cuban delegation in this important European political forum once again demonstrated the support of international progressive forces for Cuba's cause and their rejection of the blockade, as well as the commitment to continue strengthening ties of solidarity and cooperation.
