I acknowledge receipt of the letter of invitation from Fernando Gonzales to attend the currently on going Solidarity meeting held in Nigeria. It is with deep regret that I am unable to attend due to some unavoidable circumstances.
However, I saw it deemed fit to take some time and express our total and unreserved support to the government and people of Cuba against the unlawful blockade of the peace loving people of Cuba. This blockade is illegal and cannot be supported by any international law or standard.
We also observed with great reservation the pronouncements made by the president of the United States of America yesterday at the United Nations against Cuba and other brotherly countries.
We therefore condemn in the strongest term all ilegal actions against the brotherly people of Cuba.
We also stand by them in support just as they did during the liberation struggle of Africa.
Down with all forms of imperialism. The struggle continues victory is assured.
