Bruselas, 9 agosto de 2022/ Las asociaciones Cuba-Soberana y Cubanismo.be lanzaron en Bélgica llamados a la solidaridad con la isla mediante transferencias de dinero y donativos destinados a paliar las consecuencias del incendio que afecta la zona industrial de Matanzas.
A través de las redes sociales, el coordinador del proyecto humanitario Cuba-Soberana, Reinaldo Romero, adelantó que el miércoles una cubana residente partirá hacia la occidental provincia con un cargamento de 50 kilogramos de insumos médicos.
También disponemos de la cuenta BE05891634182875 para quienes puedan realizar un aporte, agregó Romero, quien dirigió su mensaje a las asociaciones de solidaridad y a los cubanos identificados con la patria amada y el dolor de nuestras familias.
Asimismo, señaló que en la ciudad de Gante están en curso otras acciones para ayudar a la isla, donde el viernes un rayo impactó uno de los tanques de combustible de la Base de Supertanqueros de Matanzas, desatando explosiones y un voraz incendio, aún fuera de control.
De acuerdo con las autoridades, una persona falleció, más de 120 recibieron atención médica, de ellas unas 20 siguen todavía hospitalizadas, y 16 permanecen desaparecidas, mientras fueron evacuadas las comunidades aledañas.
Por su parte, Cubanismo.be anunció que está disponible la cuenta BE44523080681645 de Globalize Solidarity para recaudar fondos destinados a la solidaridad y pidió a los interesados indicar en las transferencias “Urgencia Matanzas”.
La asociación, muy activa en la defensa de la nación antillana y su pueblo frente al bloqueo estadounidense, convocó a ayudar a Cuba en estos momentos difíciles.
Ese apoyo es más que necesario para respaldar a la isla en la compra de medicamentos e insumos médicos que urgen en una situación como esta, subrayó Cubanismo.be, que adelantó además la realización de gestiones para recibir donativos de productos empleados en el tratamiento de heridas por quemadura.
