How long have you been in this profession of coaching?

For the second year in a row I have been doing the job of coaching the national boxing of Indonesia.

What would you say the role of a coach?

A coach is a teacher and at the same time a pedagogue who must be an example for his students, his boxers. A good coach is one who cares about educating and creating values for his athlete, in order to form a useful man for society. And not only dedicate himself giving load and demand results, that is not a coach but a coach.

What is the best moment of yours being a coach?

I have lived very good moments, for example when an athlete with his effort has been able to obtain a gold medal. And I have had bad moments when I have seen a medal escape not due to lack of athlete effort but due to external factors. What I like most about being a coach when I am in a national or international competition and the athletes and coaches greet me with great respect and affection.

Before coming to Indonesia, where did you coach?

Before coming to Indonesia I worked as a coach in the Republic of Ecuador, Venezuela and Iran, to name more significant.

What is your challenge in Indonesia?

My personal challenge is to revenue Indonesia to an Olympic games in boxing. Dreaming of an Olympic medal with current boxers.

What is the positive part of Indonesian boxers and what needs to be improved?

The positive part is the discipline. But they must work hard on perseverance will and that will lead them as great boxers. A word about boxing ... Never should a boxer surrender to the contrary, he must fight until the last moment. A tip for boxers ...The key to success in boxing is discipline, perseverance, and the will to achieve great goals. Starting from the theory that a good boxer must have an intelligent head and a brave heart.
