On behave of the Cuba Graduate from Cuba and the Government of the Gambia; I want to salute all the participants for honoring the invitation to the 6th African Continental Meeting of solidarity with Cuba which is taking place in Abuja, Nigeria. I want to give my appreciation to the Honorable Minister of Youth and Sports of the Gambia and HE Ruben Cuban Ambassador in the Gambia for their tremendous support to the Ex Graduates association of the Gambia.
We all know that the objective of this meeting is to strengthen the friendship and solidarity among our nations in the current international scenario.
It is important to have dialogue among ourselves. Dialogue contributes to maintain improve peace and this is in line with the ideas of the fore founders of the Caribbean Island of Cuba, Jose Marti.
It was our intention for Gambia to participate in this important dialogue, but due to circumstances beyond our control we could not make it at the later part. But we want to assure you of our commitment that Cuba will not be alone. We will stand by them until justice prevails.
Finally, I want to urge all the participants to take this event seriously and make good resolutions.
