El embajador de Cuba, Juan Antonio Fernández Palacios, fue recibido en la sede del Partido de los Trabajadores de Bélgica (PTB) por el secretario general de esa fuerza política, Peter Mertens.
El encuentro fue propicio para abordar temas de interés común, incluyendo aspectos relacionados con la visita a Cuba de una delegación del PTB, encabezada por Mertens, en el contexto de la celebración de la Conferencia Internacional “Por el equilibrio del mundo”.
El Embajador reiteró el agradecimiento al PTB y a sus líderes por la permanente solidaridad y acompañamiento hacia Cuba, al tiempo que trasladó su voluntad de continuar trabajando de conjunto en la concreción de nuevos proyectos e iniciativas.
Durante el fructífero intercambio estuvieron presentes también otros dirigentes del PTB y de la Embajada de Cuba en Bruselas.

Secretary General of the Workers' Party of Brussels receives the Ambassador of Cuba
Brussels, January 14, 2025.- Cuban Ambassador Juan Antonio Fernández Palacios was received at the headquarters of the Workers' Party of Belgium (PTB) by the Secretary General of that political force, Peter Mertens.
The meeting was propitious to address issues of common interest, including aspects related to the visit to Cuba of a PTB delegation, headed by Mertens, in the context of the celebration of the International Conference “For the Balance of the World”.
The Ambassador reiterated his gratitude to the PTB and its leaders for the permanent solidarity and accompaniment towards Cuba, and expressed his willingness to continue working together in the realization of new projects and initiatives.
Other leaders of the PTB and the Cuban Embassy in Brussels were also present during the fruitful exchange.
