Solidaridad con Cuba en Tailandia

Communiqué of the Chairman of the THAI ASSOCIATION FOR INTERNATIONAL UNDERSTANDING on the 69th Anniversary of 26 July, 1953, in Cuba

1. The THAI ASSOCIATION FOR INTERNATIONAL UNDERSTANDING congratulates the People and the Government of the Republic of Cuba on the 69th Anniversary of 26 July, 1953, which in Fidel Castro’s words “marked the last and definitive stage of the struggle for national independence that the Cuban People had waged since 1868”.

2. The THAI ASSOCIATION FOR INTERNATIONAL UNDERSTANDING values the work of Cuba in the field of Health and Education with the international community, promoting and implementing international solidarity and cooperation as a valuable member of the UN, and its efforts to improve its socio-economic development in the midst of a 60-year-old U.S. economic, commercial and financial blockade.

3. The THAI ASSOCIATION FOR INTERNATIONAL UNDERSTANDING reiterates its commitment to the purposes, principles and provisions of the Charter of the United Nations, the principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of sovereign States and stresses its support to the promotion of dialogue, tolerance and diversity of political, economic, social and cultural systems.

4. The THAI ASSOCIATION FOR INTERNATIONAL UNDERSTANDING highlights the historic relevance of the 64th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Thailand and the Republic of Cuba and welcomes the growing bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two Nations.
