Santa Marta, Colombia,10 de noviembre.- El vicepresidente de Cuba, Salvador Valdés Mesa, fue recibido, a inicios de la tarde de hoy, por el presidente del Consejo Europeo, Antonio Costa, en el contexto de la IV Cumbre CELAC-UE.
Ambos líderes destacaron los resultados alcanzados en el evento birregional, en particular en los ámbitos de la cooperación; así como la importancia de continuar fortaleciendo la alianza y el diálogo entre ambas regiones.
Durante el encuentro, intercambiaron sobre el estado de los vínculos bilaterales entre Cuba y la Unión Europea y la necesidad de continuar implementando el Acuerdo de Diálogo Político y Cooperación (ADPC) sobre la base del respeto mutuo.
El vicepresidente Valdés Mesa agradeció a los países miembros de la Unión Europea que apoyaron a Cuba en la Asamblea General de la ONU, en el justo reclamo de poner fin al bloqueo impuesto por los Estados Unidos.

Cuban Vice President meets with President of the European Council
Santa Marta, Colombia, November 10.- Cuban Vice President Salvador Valdés Mesa was received early this afternoon by European Council President Antonio Costa in the context of the IV CELAC-EU Summit.
Both leaders highlighted the results achieved at the bi-regional event, particularly in the areas of cooperation, as well as the importance of continuing to strengthen the alliance and dialogue between the two regions.
During the meeting, they discussed the state of bilateral relations between Cuba and the European Union and the need to continue implementing the Political Dialogue and Cooperation Agreement (PDCA) on the basis of mutual respect.
Vice President Valdés Mesa thanked the member countries of the European Union that supported Cuba at the UN General Assembly in its just demand to end the blockade imposed by the United States.
