Una representación significativa de cubanos residentes en el exterior confirmó su asistencia a la XLI Feria Internacional de La Habana (FIHAV 2025), uno de los eventos comerciales más importantes del Caribe, que se desarrollará del 24 al 29 de noviembre en el recinto ferial de Expocuba.
De acuerdo con declaraciones oficiales, una parte de estos compatriotas participará activamente como expositores, mientras que otros lo harán en la modalidad de “maletín en mano”, con el objetivo principal de explorar y establecer oportunidades de negocio en la isla.
El anuncio fue hecho por Oscar Pérez-Oliva Fraga, vice primer ministro y titular del Ministerio de Comercio Exterior e Inversión Extranjera (MINCEX), en conversación con la Agencia Cubana de Noticias.
El alto funcionario precisó que, como parte del programa de la feria, está previsto un intercambio específico de oportunidades de negocio con esta comunidad.
Además, subrayó la amplia representación internacional que tendrá el evento, con la participación confirmada de aproximadamente 50 naciones y de la Unión Europea, lo que refleja el alcance global de la cita comercial.
Durante un encuentro con la prensa convocado para detallar los pormenores de FIHAV 2025, Pérez-Oliva Fraga aprovechó la ocasión para reconocer y destacar la ayuda humanitaria provista por cubanos residentes en el exterior tras el paso devastador del huracán Melissa. El vice primer ministro agradeció el envío de donativos destinados a las familias y zonas más afectadas de las provincias orientales.
“Este gesto nos parece muy positivo, y la participación en la XLI Feria Internacional de La Habana de un grupo de ellos, como empresarios, indudablemente va a tener una contribución adicional a los esfuerzos de nuestro país por la recuperación de las provincias orientales y por el desarrollo de la economía”, manifestó el vice primer ministro y titular del MINCEX.
El programa oficial de la edición 41 de FIHAV es extenso e incluye eventos de alto nivel, como la octava edición del Foro de Inversiones, la presentación de la Cartera de Oportunidades de negocios con Cuba y las ceremonias de los Días Nacionales, dedicadas a honrar a los países participantes.
De forma paralela a la feria, y con el fin de ampliar el diálogo económico-financiero, los días 26 y 27 de noviembre se desarrollará el Foro Bancario del Caribe, el cual tendrá como sede el Hotel Parque Central de La Habana.

Cubans abroad seek business opportunities at the 2025 Havana International Fair.
A significant representation of Cubans residing abroad has confirmed their attendance at the 41st Havana International Fair (FIHAV 2025), one of the most important commercial events in the Caribbean, which will take place from November 24 to 29 at the Expocuba fairgrounds.
According to official statements, some of these compatriots will actively participate as exhibitors, while others will do so in the “briefcase in hand” modality, with the main goal of exploring and establishing business opportunities on the island.
The announcement was made by Oscar Pérez-Oliva Fraga, Deputy Prime Minister and head of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment (MINCEX), in a conversation with the Cuban News Agency.
The high-ranking official explained that, as part of the fair’s program, a specific exchange on business opportunities with this community is planned.
He also highlighted the broad international representation the event will have, with the confirmed participation of approximately 50 nations and the European Union, reflecting the global reach of this commercial gathering.
During a press briefing convened to present details of FIHAV 2025, Pérez-Oliva Fraga took the opportunity to acknowledge and highlight the humanitarian aid provided by Cubans residing abroad following the devastating passage of Hurricane Melissa. The Deputy Prime Minister expressed gratitude for the donations sent to families and areas most affected in the eastern provinces.
“This gesture seems very positive to us, and the participation of a group of them in the 41st Havana International Fair as entrepreneurs will undoubtedly make an additional contribution to our country’s efforts for the recovery of the eastern provinces and the development of the economy,” stated the Deputy Prime Minister and MINCEX head.
The official program of the 41st edition of FIHAV is extensive and includes high-level events such as the eighth edition of the Investment Forum, the presentation of Cuba’s Portfolio of Business Opportunities, and the National Days ceremonies dedicated to honoring the participating countries.
Parallel to the fair, and with the aim of expanding economic and financial dialogue, the Caribbean Banking Forum will be held on November 26 and 27 at the Parque Central Hotel in Havana.
