DECLARATION OF THE GAMBIA CUBAN FRIENDSHIP ASSOCIATION IN SOLIDARITY WITH THE CUBAN PEOPLE ON THE ILEGAL BLOCKADE IMPOSED BY THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
Further to the already existing sanctions on June 5th the United States of America imposed additional sanctions on the peace loving people of the Revolutionary country of Cuba. These include amongst others the strengthening of restrictions on US citizens to travel to Cuba by boat and immediately prohibiting cruise ships. Similarly the National Security adviser John Bolton on the 17th of April announced that his country would futher restrict non family travels to Cuba.
All the above mentioned actions advanced on a sovereign nation without any legal basis are only ment to economically strangle the brotherly country of Cuba.
These ilegal actions are not sancton by any world body or organisation. Thus making such action totally ilegal. In our view no one appointed the USA to be world policeman or regulator.
However above all these injustice the Cuban people are known to be resilient and will surely survive all such actions.
The solidarity association of the Gambia condemn in the strongest term all ilegal sanctions imposed on the peaceful people of Cuba.
We therefore pledge our unreserved solidarity and support to the government and people of the Revolutionary country of Cuba.
Long live Gambia Cuban solidarity. The struggle continues victory is assured.

DECLARACIÓN DE LA ASOCIACIÓN DE AMISTAD GAMBIA-CUBA EN SOLIDARIDAD CON EL PUEBLO CUBANO Y CONTRA EL BLOQUEO ILEGAL IMPUESTO POR ESTADOS UNIDOS.
Además del bloqueo ya existente, este 5 de junio Estados Unidos impuso sanciones adicionales a las personas amantes de la paz en el mundo, y contra el país revolucionario de Cuba.
Estas incluyen, entre otras, el fortalecimiento de las restricciones a los ciudadanos estadounidenses para viajar a Cuba en barco, y la prohibición inmediata de los cruceros. De manera similar, el pasado 17 de abril, el asesor de Seguridad Nacional de EE.UU, John Bolton, anunció que su país restringiría aún más los viajes a Cuba.
Todas las acciones mencionadas contra una nación soberana carecen de fundamento legal, y son solo para estrangular económicamente al hermano país de Cuba.
Esas medidas son rechazadas por la Comunidad Internacional y los organismos y organizaciones internacionales, por tanto, son ilegales.
En nuestra opinión, nadie nombró a Estados Unidos para ser policía o regulador mundial.
Sin embargo, por encima de todas estas injusticias, se sabe que el pueblo cubano es resistente y seguramente sobrevivirá a todas las medidas impuestas por Washington.
La Asociación de Amistad Gambia-Cuba condena en lostérminos más fuertes todas las sanciones ilegales impuestas al pueblo pacífico de Cuba.
Por lo tanto, prometemos nuestra solidaridad y apoyo sin reservas al gobierno y pueblo revolucionarios de Cuba.
Larga vida a la Solidaridad de Gambia con Cuba. La lucha continúa, la victoria está asegurada.
