58th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution celebrated with Iranian authorities

Cuban Ambassador Vladimir González Quesada offered a work lunch at his Residence to several Iranian authorities of the Ministry of Health and Medical Education -as counterpart of the Intergovernmental Commission- and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to celebrate the 58th anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution and to review bilateral relations.


The main guests were the Deputy Minister of Health and Medical Education for International Affairs, Dr. Mohsen Asadi Lari, and the Director General for the Americas in the Foreign Ministry, Mohammad Keshavarz Zadeh. The Ambassador was accompanied at the banquet by Norberto Escalona Carrillo, Second Secretary of the Embassy.


During the welcome to the guests, the Head of Mission emphasized the coincidence of this activity being carried out just on the day when was celebrated 58 years of the victorious entry into Havana of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, after being proclaimed its triumph on January 1st, 1959.


Cuban diplomats and the Persian authorities took advantage of this opportunity to exchange during a frank and relaxed dialogue on the latest developments in bilateral relations between the two countries, as well as to point out projects for the near future with an emphasis on the arrangements for the XVI session of the Intergovernmental Commission, scheduled for the second half of February.
