Vientiane, April 2024. The Embassy of Cuba remembered the 63rd Anniversary of the Victory of Playa Giron, the first great defeat of Yankee imperialism in Latin America, together with friends and representatives of various ministries, who visited the headquarters and shared during the cultural evening, in which documentaries of allegorical interest were presented to date.
In her speech, the Ambassador underlined the significance of the date and validity of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, when she said that from this fact, the people of America were a little freer.
The activity was chaired by the vice president of the Lao National Assembly, Chaleun Yiapahoer, and in charge of the Laos-Cuba Friendship Association.
The Cuban diplomat took advantage of the meeting to highlight the significance of the 65th Anniversary of the Triumph of the Revolution, the 49th of the founding of the People's Democratic Republic and the 50th of the establishment of diplomatic relations. At the same time he wished for the health and prosperity of the Lao leaders and people in their traditional Pi Mai, New Year.
