65th Anniversary of July 26th, Day of the National Rebellion, was commemorated in Trinidad and Tobago.

Port of Spain, July 29th, 2018. The 65th Anniversary of the 26th of July, Day of the National Rebellion was commemorated in this capital with a political-cultural act.  

The celebratory act for the 26th of July was headed by the Cuban Ambassador, directives of the Friends with Cuba Association and the Cuban Medical Brigade, among other members.

In attendance were the Cuban collaborators, members of the solidarity movement with Cuba, political leaders, Cuban residents, among others.

The main speaches were made by the President of the Friends with Cuba Association and the Cuban Ambassador, both highlighted the importance and significance of this date.

For his part, the Ambassador reiterated Cuba's solidarity with the Bolivarian Revolution and Nicaragua, and all the just causes of the peoples, in addition to thanking Trinidad and Tobago and the Caribbean peoples for their firm and sustained support for Cuba in the battle against the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States of America for almost six decades.

At the ceremony diplomas were handed out to the most outstanding workers of the Cuban Medical Brigade. The Coordinator of the Brigade also received the Diploma of Recognition granted by the Government of Trinidad and Tobago for the work carried out by the Cuban collaborators. At the same time, the diploma awarded by the Ministry of Public Health of Cuba to the Medical Brigade for outstanding work in 2017 was highlighted.

One of the collaborators present, enlivened the activity with his artistic performance.

After the notes of the march of July 26, those present participated in the danceable cultural activity.
