The Cuban-Canadian Friendship Association, the Latin American and Caribbean Solidarity Network (LACSN) and the Juan Gualberto Gómez Association of Cubans Residing in Canada celebrated the 71st Anniversary of the Assault on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes Barracks. The activity was attended by members of the Consulate General of Cuba in Toronto, members of various Cuba solidarity groups.
The meeting included artistic presentations and statements in support of the Cuban Revolution, and condemned the unjust economic and commercial blockade imposed by the U.S. on our country. Consul Tania Valenzuela thanked all the participants for their expressions of affection, emphasized the importance of this historic date for our people and the validity of the ideas of the young people of the 26th of July Movement.
The occasion was propitious to denounce the inclusion of Cuba in the list of countries sponsoring terrorism and the intensification of the campaigns of defamation and hatred that are promoted to justify this decision against Cuba.
