Advisor to Liberia's Minister of Sports and Youth appreciates opportunity to condemn blockade of Cuba.

Monrovia, February 17, 2021 - Advisor to Liberia's Minister of Youth and Sports, Mr. Kesselee K. Kanneh, welcomed the opportunity to once again condemn the U.S. blockade of Cuba, this time in the sphere of sports.

Mr. Kanneh, a graduate with a degree in Physical Culture, demanded the lifting of the cruel and inhuman blockade against the largest of the Antilles during the virtual event "Sports in Cuba: Another Target of the US Blockade", which was held in coordination with the Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP).

The Liberian advisor pointed out that he has experienced firsthand the effects of the US blockade on Cuban sports and in his comments he said that the blockade has deprived Cuba's athletes from participating in many competitions that are part of Physical Culture, and yet the Caribbean island has more than 80 Olympic champions.

He added that Cuban sport is the inspiration of all foreign students who have graduated from sports on the island and that for that reason Cuba will always be able to count on friends in different countries of the world to defend the achievements of Cuban sport.
