Afternoon of friendship between Azerbaijan, Bulgaria and Cuba

The Bulgarian singer Yordanka Hristova, a friend of Cuba and Azerbaijan, received a tribute during a meeting held at the Miniature Book Museum in Baku.

Zarifa Salajova, director of the Museum and organizer of the meeting, recalled the beginning of her relations with the singer and how love and solidarity towards Cuba and her people have always been present in the cultural life of both and the close friendship that unites them.

On the day, Yordanka recalled his first visit to the island in 1967 and his love for the Cuban people. He expressed that he considers Cuba his second homeland and highlighted its cultural values.

For his part, the Ambassador of Bulgaria in Baku, Nikolay Yankov, stressed that Yordanka is considered the most international singer of his country and a distinguished personality for his artistic and human qualities.

The Cuban diplomat, Alfredo Nieves Portuondo, thanked the samples of love and sympathy for Cuba shown in the day and stressed the respect and affection of the Cuban people towards the popular Bulgarian singer.

Yordanka Hristova has performed in more than 40 countries and exceeds the twenty albums that includes a wide repertoire in 18 languages.
