Kuala Lumpur, January 5 - The Institute of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology and the company for the production and commercialization of innovative medicines Ubisson, concluded in Malaysia the signing of an agreement for the distribution of Heberprot-P in Malaysia. Initially it had been signed in Havana by the director of the CIGB, Eulogio Pimentel.
The agreement is supported by the National Diabetes Institute of Malaysia and is expected to expedite the registration of Heberprot in the country before the end of the current year.
The document was signed by the Executive Director of Ubisson, Mr. Peter Ting and as a witness, the Cuban ambassador to Malaysia, Ibete Fernández Hernández, in the presence of the Secretary General of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Dato Lokman Hakim Bin Ali, who advocated extending cooperation to introduce other highly effective Cuban biotechnological products to the Malaysian market.
