Nicosia, 11 February 2024.- The Ambassador of Cuba in the Republic of Cyprus, H.E. Mr. Angel Gustavo Suarez Cordero, attended on Sunday 11th of February the Holy Mass on the occasion of the Feast of St Maron which was celebrated at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Graces in Nicosia.
The Ambassador gave his respect to the Archbishop and informed him on the inauguration of a Maronite church in Havana, celebrated by the Cardinal of Havana and the Abbot Hadi Mahfouz, General President of Maronite Order from Lebanon in the beginnings of February 2024. An act that demonstrates the freedom of religion in Cuba. In turn the Archbishop, gave his good wishes to the Ambassador and his country.
The Holy Mass was attended by the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Nikos Christodoulides and local authorities (EmbaCuba Chipre).
