The Ambassador of Cuba in the Republic of Cyprus, H.E. Mr. Angel Gustavo Suarez Cordero, attended on Wednesday 14th of February the Peace Prize award ceremony organized by the Cyprus Peace Council and which took place at the Conference Hall of the Primary Teachers’ Union premises.
The prizes were awarded to Donis Christofinis for his long-standing contribution as a prominent figure in the Cyprus peace and internationalist solidarity movement, the Bicommunal Organisation “Together we can” for its significant activity in the investigation of the fate of the missing persons in both communities and Panagiotis Pashalis (posthumous) for his contribution to the struggle for a just solution to the Palestinian problem and for peace in the Middle East through his pioneering work in investigative journalism.
The Ambassador met with the President of the Cyprus Peace Council, Mr. Tasos Costeas and the parliament of AKEL, Mr. George Loucaides (EmbaCuba Chipre).
