Roseau, Dominica, July 6, 2022. The President of the "Dominica-Cuba Friendship Association", Dr. Damien Dublin, received the Ambassador of Cuba in this sister nation, Ulises Arranz Fernández, today, July 6 2022. During the meeting, ideas were exchanged about carrying out various activities in favor of friendship between the two peoples. Among these activities is the holding on Saturday, July 9, 2022, of a Caravan in Roseau, the country's capital, to condemn the economic, financial and commercial blockade of the US government against Cuba and demand that it be ended, which will conclude with a political act in which Dominicans and Cubans will speak.
The activity will also serve to celebrate the first anniversary of the most recent victory of the Cuban people, when on July 11, 2021, they neutralized the attempts from abroad to destabilize the country, through acts of vandalism promoted by social networks, by means of anti-cuban campaigns generated from US territory.
The Ambassador thanked the President of the Association for the work they have been doing for the friendship between the peoples of Dominica and Cuba and the support they provide to the people of Cuba in the battle to end the blockade. The "Dominica-Cuba Friendship Association" is an organization that carries out cultural, political and patriotic activities to promote the ties of friendship between the peoples of both nations.
