The Ambassador of Cuba to the Republic of Cyprus, H.E. Mr. Angel Gustavo Suarez Cordero, held a meeting with the Minister of Justice, Mr. Marios Hartsiotis at the premises of the Ministry of Justice on the morning of 15 February.
The Ambassador congratulated Mr. Hartsiotis on his appointment as Minister of Justice and exchanged in a favourable atmosphere on the historical ties, solidarity and mutual support between the two countries. Furthermore, the Minister affirmed that there is always room for further cooperation between Cuba and Cyprus and expressed his willingness to work in that direction.
For his part, the Ambassador informed Mr. Hartsiotis about the difficulties faced by Cuba due to the application of the unjust and criminal US blockade, updated him on the legislative panorama in the Caribbean island and agreed on the willingness to cooperate with the Ministry of Justice in future projects, such as the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (EmbaCuba Cyprus).
