The Cuban Ambassador to the Republic of Cyprus, H.E. Mr. Angel Gustavo Suarez Cordero, held a meeting with the President of the Democratic Alignment Party (DEPA), Mr. Marios Garoyian at the premises of the Party on February 16.
During the fraternal meeting they discussed about the historical ties, solidarity and mutual support between the two countries. Furthermore, the DEPA President reaffirmed the continuation of the historical support of Cyprus to Cuba but also of the party. He mentioned that there is space for future cooperation between Cuba and Cyprus and that the relationship of the two countries can be improved in different fields.
For his part, the Ambassador informed Mr. Garoyian about the difficulties Cuba is facing due to the economic effects of the unjust and genocidal US blockade, spoke about the international relations Cuba maintains with other countries and agreed on the willingness to cooperate with the Party to strengthen bilateral relations (EmbaCuba Cyprus).
