Ambassador of Cuba in India presents copies of his credentials

New Delhi, October 7, 2021. The new designated Ambassador of Cuba to the Republic of India, Alejandro Simancas Marín, presented copies of his credential to Nagesh Singh, Joint Secretary of the Protocol Division at the Ministry of External Affairs.

The Indian chief of protocol welcomed and congratulated the new Head of the Cuban Diplomatic Mission in New Delhi on behalf of the Government and people of India, and he wished him success in carrying out his work as Ambassador. He also highlighted the traditional relationship of friendship and cooperation between both nations. For his part, the Ambassador expressed that it constitutes a high honor to represent Cuba in a country like India, to which “we are united with deep feelings of friendship and solidarity, founded on the basis of our relations by the historic leaders of India and Cuba. He reiterated the Cuban government's message of friendship and its willingness to continue consolidating the ties in all fields of the bilateral cooperation. Both official representatives expressed the full commitment and sipostinon to work closely together in consolidating the friendship, solidarity and collaboration and highlighted the celebration last year of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
