Dublin, January 18, 2018. The Cuban Ambassador to Ireland, Hugo René Ramos Milanes held a working meeting at the Leisnter Palace, seat of the Parliament, with Deputy Gerry Adams, president of Sinn Féin and endearing friend of the Cuban Revolution .
Both sides exchanged about the recent events in their respective countries, the international situation and the partisan activity. They outlined upcoming actions aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and cooperation in various fields.
The leader of Sinn Féin recalled his participation in the funeral honors of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, for whom his party professed deep admiration and respect, as well as gratitude for the support that Fidel always offered to independence causes and the defense of the right sovereign of the peoples.
Adams ratified the friendship and solidarity of Sinn Féin with Cuba and the struggle of the Cuban people to eliminate the economic blockade imposed by the US government.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Seán Crowe, responsible for International Relations and Eric Scanlon, assistant.
