Cuban Ambassador to Nigeria, Clara M. Pulido Escandell participated in an online conference "Emerging trends in the Nigerian culture industry" with the theme "Acquisition of new frontiers in skills during # COVID19", organized by the Nigerian National Council for the Culture and Arts.
During the conference, the Cuban diplomat referred to Cuba's extensive experience in using the mass media to carry out education and culture for the people. In the same way, she highlighted the relevant role played by the media to keep the people informed in the current crisis situation caused by the COVID19 pandemic. She also referred to the organization of the educational structure through radio and television, with the aim of preserving the national education system and reaching hundreds of miles of people, essentially children and young people.
Representatives of the Nigerian Ministry of Culture and Arts as well as the accredited Diplomatic Corps in the country participated in the Conference.
