Ambassador of Cuba visits the Minister of State in charge of pharmaceutical supplies of Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka October 6, 2021, The Cuban Ambassador to Sri Lanka Andrés Marcelo González Garrido paid a courtesy visit to Professor Channa Jayasumana, Member of Parliament and Minister of State in charge of the supply, production and regulation of pharmaceutical products of Sri Lanka.
In the interview, both reviewed the different negotiations that are carried out between institutions of the two countries to promote Cuban pharmaceutical products.
Likewise, the minister was given an update on the situation of the Covid 19 Pandemic in Cuba and the vaccination program that takes place on the island with the application of vaccines developed and produced by the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (CIGB) and the Finlay Vaccine Institute (IVF), where the “Abdala” and “Soberana” vaccines are produced respectively.
