Ambassador of Cuba visits the province of Mashonaland West.

The Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and member of the Parliament, Honorable W. K. Shamu, welcomed the Ambassador of Cuba in Zimbabwe, Carmelina Ramirez, who visited the province of Mashonaland West, 121 km from the city of Harare. Accompanied by Dr. Barbara Reina, Chief of the Medical Brigade in Zimbabwe, the Cuban diplomat toured the provincial hospital of Chinoyi in which for decades our health professionals have rendered services. The director of the institution Dr. Collet Mawire and the director of Health in the province Dr. Wenceslao Nyamayaro, explained in detail the services and operation of the hospital that has 450 beds and provides care to a population of more than one million inhabitants. It is the largest and most modern reference hospital in the western Mashonaland province, with excellent and modern equipment conditions
The Honorable Minister of State Shamu valued Cuba's cooperation with Zimbabwe, praised the performance of health workers and congratulated the Cuban people for the example of resistance and dignity that it has given to the world.
