The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, Vilma Reyes Valdespino, was received by the Permanent Secretary of Health, Welfare and Environment of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines at the headquarters of the Ministry.

During the fraternal meeting, the parties reviewed the progress of collaboration between the two countries in the field of health.

The senior official praised the results of the implementation of Heberprot-P in St. Vincent and the Grenadines in 2016 and confirmed the decision of his Government to move to the second stage of the application of the Cuban drug, from the third quarter of this year.

The increase in scholarships awarded by the largest island of the Greater Antilles to Vincentian students for medical studies from the 2017-2018 academic years was approached with satisfaction and enthusiasm by the Vincentian official.
