The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in Azerbaijan, Alfredo Nieves Portuondo, met with the executive director of the Contemporary Art Center of Azerbaijan http://www.moma.az/en , Khayyam Abdinov.
In the conversations and during the tour of the installation, both parties valued a future collaboration in the visual arts.
The diplomat proposed to the Azeri director to establish links with representatives of the National Council of Plastic Arts and the Contemporary Art Center Wifredo Lam -both institutions belonging to the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Cuba.
Likewise, Nieves Portuondo invited the Azeri cultural director to participate in the 13th Havana Biennial, the largest visual arts event in Cuba, which will be held from April 12 to May 12, 2019.
The diplomat stressed that the next Biennial will be held in the year of the 500th anniversary of Havana and will be a space to learn about Cuban culture and establish links in this area.
