The Chargé d'Affaires of Cuba in Liberia, Yordenis Despaigne Vera, bid farewell last Sunday at the Roberts International Airport in Monrovia to the two young Liberians selected to begin medical studies this year in the Mayor of The Antilles. At the meeting, the Cuban diplomat recalled momentous moments in the history of the Cuban government's solidarity with the African country, in particular the 19 scholarships granted and the work of the island's doctors during the devastating Ebola epidemic. country suffered. He also urged young Liberians to make the most of this study opportunity and return successfully to contribute to the reconstruction of their country's health system.

For his part, the MOFA representative once again thanked the solidarity support of the Cuban government and people, and highlighted the simplicity and hospitality of Cubans.
