Guyana, April 13th. The Association of Cuban Residents in Guyana, rejects the intrusion of terrorist elements in the Civil Society Forum of the VIII Summit of the Americas, those who present themselves as paladins of freedom, are capable of being photographed with Luis Posada Carriles, an internationally recognized terrorist who was the author, with others of the same ilk, of the explosion of a Cuban airplane where 73 people lost their lives, among them young Cuban sportsmen and Guyanese citizens.
We demand, together with the genuine representation of the Cuban youth that represents us, the end of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States against Cuba, the return of the territory illegally occupied by the Guantánamo Naval Base and the cessation of interference in Cuban domestic affairs.
The right to determine our destiny as a nation has been won by generations of Cubans throughout history.
The community of Cuban residents in Guyana, indissolubly linked to the destinies of the homeland, feels itself part of the Cuban, solidary, united and diverse civil society; and rejects any provocation against Cuba.
