In the framework of the activity in which the Cuban Embassy, Vincentian authorities and the Cuban collaborators, commemorated the 55th anniversary of the Victory of Girón, the Association of Cubans residents in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines issued a combative statement, which concerns the recent celebration of the anniversaries of the UJC and the Organization of pioneers José Martí. It welcomed the successful celebration of the VII Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba and supports the resolutions adopted by the event.
In the statement, residents say that for them, it is vital to transmit to the Cuban people that they support the normalization of relations between Cuba and the United States, provided the unjust economic blockade imposed for decades is lifted, the territory occupied by the Guantanamo naval base is returned and all American measures of encouragement of the illegal, dangerous and disorganized emigration, be eliminated.
