The Thomas Sankara Center For African Liberation And Unity and the Burkina Faso section of The All-African People’s Revolutionary Party, A-APRP, have learned with great consternation of the despicable terrorist attack perpetrated against the Cuban embassy in Washington, D.C. This is the latest in a long series of terrorist actions carried out against Cuba from within the United States since the triumph of the Cuban revolution. The aim of this action is regime change, the very opposite of any acceptable definition of democracy. This attack is an affront to Cuba’s sovereignty, aimed at tarnishing the spirit of a people and the morale of a government in the vanguard of socialist humanist values and praxis. But we know that Cuban morale will never be tarnished.
The Thomas Sankara Center For African Liberation And Unity and the Burkinabé section of the A-APRP unanimously condemn this attack in the strongest terms, and reiterate unwavering support and attachment to the freedom of the Cuban people, who have always been the prime target of imperialism.
We therefore call on the authorities of the United States of America to respect the sovereignty and democratic model of the historic revolutionary country of Cuba. To the US government, to the counter-revolutionary aggressors, we raise our voice loud and clear: end the war against Cuba!
