The CEO of the Cork Chamber of Commerce receives the Cuban ambassador in Ireland.

Cork, Ireland, April 21, 2023. The executive director of the Cork City Chamber of Commerce, Conor Healy, received the Cuban ambassador to Ireland, Bernardo Guanche Hernández, at its headquarters. During a pleasant meeting, Mr. Healy presented a video that shows the development achieved by County Cork from the point of view of mercantile production, as well as the decisive role that the port located in Cork plays in Irish imports and exports.

For his part, the Cuban ambassador referred to the importance of strengthening trade relations between the two countries, in line with the excellent bilateral ties. He also conveyed the greetings of the President of the Cuban Chamber of Commerce, Antonio Carricarte Corona and his interest in establishing links between both institutions. The Cuban diplomat summarized the brake that the strengthened US blockade represents for Cuba in terms of trade and international financial flow, as well as the limitations imposed by the unfair inclusion of his country on the list of countries sponsoring terrorism maintained by the Department of State of the United States.

Both parties agreed to intensify contacts in order to develop their relations to the benefit of both countries.
