Zambia, May 13th, 2022 - Milena Caridad Zaldívar Piedra, Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of Cuba in Zambia, participated in the Annual Meeting of the Diplomatic Corps accredited in Lusaka, chaired by H.E. Mr. Stanley K. Kakubo, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of this African country.
In the briefing, the Zambian Foreign Minister, also a Member of Parliament, presented a summary of the main lines of action in foreign policy of the government of President Hakainde Hichilema. Minister Kakubo communicated the commitment to promote international relations based on the sustainable development of the nation.
During a brief exchange with the Cuban diplomat, the Zambian politician highlighted bilateral ties. Similarly, he conveyed his sorrow on the occasion of the official mourning decreed by the victims of the accident at the Hotel Saratoga.
Zaldívar Piedra, for her part, thanked the Zambian minister for his words towards Cuba in moments of extreme pain, an expression of solidarity of the fraternal ties of friendship that unite both peoples and governments.
