Charge d'Affaires of Cuba in Liberia and designated Ambassador of Liberia in the UN and Cuba hold meeting.

In the afternoon of Monday, the meeting was attended by the Chargé d'Affaires of Cuba in Liberia, Yordenis Despaigne Vera and Mr. Lewis G. Brown II, appointed Ambassador of Liberia to the United Nations, concurrently before the Cuban State. The meeting took place at the headquarters of the Liberian chancellery, located in the capital.

In a cordial atmosphere, they exchanged on various aspects, including the commitment of both countries to strengthen bilateral ties and work together to identify areas of mutually beneficial collaboration. The Chargé d'Affaires conveyed the congratulations to the Liberian diplomat for his recent appointment, while ratifying the Cuban disposition to accompany Liberia in its development, in those areas of common interest that are defined. In the same way, the interlocutor reiterated his gratitude to Cuba for being among the first nations in responding to the call of WHO when the Ebola outbreak occurred in 2014 in Liberia. He also stressed that Cuba continues to be an example of solidarity and international commitment for Third World countries.
