On the night of August 13, the Cuban Embassy in Qatar commemorated the 93rd Anniversary of the birth of the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz; as well as the 65th Anniversary of the birth of Commander Hugo Chávez Frías.
The activity was attended by officials from the Venezuelan Embassy, other friends of the diplomatic corps, representatives of the Cuban Medical Brigade and members of the Cuban community in Qatar.
The Ambassador of Venezuela in Qatar, Giuseppe Angelo Yoffreda Yorio and the Chargé d'Affaires a.i. from Cuba, Yadirys Echenique Paz spoke during the evening.
Through a selection of videos of both leaders and the emotional songs of the artistic group of the Cuban Medical Brigade, it was reflected how the ideas of Fidel and Chavez are present; as well as the commitment to continue defending the unity and sovereignty of Latin America.
