Communist Parties of Cuba and Bangladesh held virtual meeting

The Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and the Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB) held a fruitful virtual meeting, which was chaired by Angel Arzuaga Reyes, deputy head and coordinator of the Department of International Relations of the Central Committee of the PCC and Mohammad Shah Ala, chairman of the CPB.

During the exchange, Angel Arzuaga informed about the implementation of the results of the 8th Congress of the PCC held in April 2021 and the process of balance at municipal and provincial level that is being carried out throughout the country. Likewise, he thanked the support of the PCB in the struggle against the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the US government on the people of Cuba and the media manipulation against the Cuban Revolution.

Mohammad Shah Ala gave a wide information on the results of the 12th. PCB Congress, held last February. He also reiterated the unwavering support of the Bengali party organization to the Cuban people in the just denunciation against the blockade.

Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to continue working together in the development of the historic bonds of solidarity, friendship and cooperation that unite both countries.

Also participating on the Bengali side were Ruhin Hossain Prince, general secretary of the CPB; Hasan Tarique Chowdhury, head of the International Relations Department and member of the Central Committee of the CPB; and Professor M.M. Akash, member of the International Relations Department and member of the Central Committee. Also present from the Cuban side were Cuba's Ambassador to India, Alejandro Simancas Marin, officials of the CCPCC and the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP).
