It was with a sense of profound sorrow that we have received the sad news of the passing away of Cuba´s great leader and former president, Fidel Castro.

On behalf of the people of the State of Qatar and myself, I extend to Your Excellency and, through you, to the friendly Cuban People, our deep condolences and heartfelt sympathies.

May the departed soul rest in peace.
