Condolences to the people of Cuba
The Oilfields Workers’ Trade Union of Trinidad and Tobago would like to extend its sincerest condolences to the government of Cuba and the people of Cuba. Following the unfortunate crash of the Boeing 737 on May 18th, the immense loss of life and the hurt experienced by the people of Cuba cannot be measured and no life can be replaced.
The Oilfields Workers’ Trade Union of Trinidad and Tobago therefore extends its condolences to the people of Cuba during this unfortunate time. We stand united with you in this struggle as we would with any other. We reiterate our continued support to the newly elected President Miguel Diaz- Canel and stand ready to support the government of Cuba through this time of mourning.
The Oilfields Workers’ Trade Union extends its heartfelt solidarity with you and will assist you in any capacity required. The struggle continues and as times get more difficult, we must not forget that we struggle together as a Caribbean people and fellow Comrades in the battle for justice.
