In accordance with the decision of the National Assembly of People's Power of the Republic of Cuba, the 105th Electoral Commission was constituted and sworn in this afternoon at the Cuban Embassy in Ghana. The members of this Commission will be responsible for organizing, directing and validating the process of popular consultation and referendum on the Code of Families in Cuba.
The Caribbean island is engaged in a process of broad popular participation for the respect of the rights of all members of society and the importance of protecting the different types of families.
The comrades appointed to carry out this honorable responsibility were: Anette Chao García, (president), José Alejandro Valdes Miranda, (vocals), Mercedes Suarez Orama, (vocals) and Antonio Julian Menendez de la Fuente, (vocals).
