Copies of style presented to Chancellor of Trinidad and Tobago

Port of Spain, April 30, 2024. This morning, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, Gustavo D. Véliz Olivares, presented the Style Copies before the Honorable Senator Minister of Foreign Affairs and CARICOM, Mr. Amery Browne, who received him at the Chancellery headquarters.

 

Before meeting, the Cuban diplomat held a dialogue with the permanent secretary of the Ministry itself, Reita Touissant, where they exchanged about the historical relations that the two countries have maintained.

The Honorable Browne expressed interest in deepening bilateral ties in different areas, such as health, education and culture. He highlighted the cultural wealth that our country possesses and Cuba's contribution to the CARICOM countries. He added that the Caribbean nations will maintain in the United Nations the vote against the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States government.

For his part, the Cuban Ambassador thanked the Government of Trinidad and Tobago for the support in favor of lifting the blockade and expressed the intention to deepen and diversify the areas of cooperation.
