Nigeria, April 21, 2022.- The Cuban ambassador to Nigeria, Clara M. Pulido Escandell, paid a courtesy visit to Ambassador Mustapha Tunde Mukaila, new Regional Director at the Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere, reflecting the friendship and good relations between both countries. The moment was propitious to address issues of common interest, they also discussed regional and international news. Both diplomats agreed on the historical and cultural connections that unite our peoples.
The Cuban Ambassador thanked Nigeria for her support on the stages of the United Nations General Assembly and in the African Union, denouncing the unjust blockade policy imposed by the United States against Cuba. She as well as she reviewed the status of the bilateral agenda with Nigeria.
For his part, Ambassador Mustapha thanked the visit and recognized with admiration the role of Cuba in the fight against different diseases and the support to sister countries with its professionals, mainly Africans. He recalled the fight against Ebola and COVID19.
