Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. October 19, 2020.- Ts.Sharavjamts, president of the State Commission for Physical Culture and Sports, received Raúl Delgado Concepción Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in Mongolia at the Central Palace of Sports.
During the meeting, Ts. Sharavjamts commented that it has been cooperating successfully with the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Cuba for the last four years and added: “I personally visited Cuba and learned about the activities of medical and sports research institutions, and Cubans have reached a high level in this area. Based on their experience, we have established a new sports medicine and research center. We have a long history of working together. "
Ambassador Raúl Delgado Concepción, for his part, commented that we are ready to bring Cuban athletes to Mongolia to train and work together prior to the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics in 2021.
The Cuban side plans to co-organize the national team's pre-competition training for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo with Mongolian national judo, boxing and wrestling teams, while the Mongolian side would be interested in hiring boxing and volleyball coaches from Cuba. Overall, the two sides agree on how beneficial is the cooperation in disciplines such as volleyball, wrestling, judo, boxing and gymnastics, exchanging teachers and coaches, participating in joint training sessions and sharing experiences.
