Cuba and Pakistan seek to strengthen sports cooperation

Islamabad, April 8, 2021. Islamabad, April 8, 2021. Director General Colonel (Retd) Muhammad Asif Hazam received Cuban ambassador Zéner J. Caro González at the headquarters of Pakistan Sports Board.  


The senior Pakistani official praised the quality of the Cuban sports movement and mentioned the interest in having boxing and volleyball coaches to contribute to the preparation of his country's athletes for the upcoming South Asian Sports Games, an event to be held in 2023. He also expressed the willingness to collaborate with the development in Cuba of disciplines such as field hockey and racquetball, in which the Asian nation shows remarkable international results.


Director General Muhammad Asif Zaman is a renowned sportsman who became a member of the national squash team and stood out for his participation in international sports competitions of the armed forces. EMBACUBA PAKISTÁN.
