Riyadh, February 2nd - The Cuban Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Vladimir Gonzalez, paid a courtesy visit to the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Adel Bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir. In this occasion both parties ratified the good level of the bilateral relations between the Island and the Kingdom.
In a pleasant and relaxed dialogue, the Minister expressed to the Cuban diplomat the willingness of the Saudi authorities to continue developing ties with Cuba in different spheres, taking into account its prominent role in the Latin American region. Likewise, he thanked the presence in the Kingdom of Cuban health workers, who have remained in their jobs even in difficult circumstances.
On his part, the Ambassador briefed the most recent events in the bilateral sphere and conveyed the interest of the Cuban authorities in continuing to expand collaboration in the health sector. He also highlighted the excellent coordination existing between the two countries in the context of international organizations.
The opportunity was propitious to recall with great pleasure Al-Jubeir's visit to Cuba in April 2018, in his then capacity as foreign minister, which marked a milestone in the history of bilateral ties, as it was the first visit from a Saudi foreign minister to Havana. (EmbaCuba Arabia Saudita)
